| Achen-Gardner Construction, LLC has received a 2010 Build Arizona Award from the Arizona Chapter Associated General Contractors (AzAGC) for our South Arizona Avenue Corridor Improvements Project.
Members of the Arizona Avenue Project team accepted the award on April 8, 2011, at the AzAGC Annual Dinner & Build Arizona Awards at the Ritz-Carlton Phoenix. The prestigious Build Arizona Awards are bestowed annually on the greatest construction projects in Arizona. Award winners are judged on their state-of-the-art advancement in construction, project management, client services, optimum safety records, community contributions, environmental sensitivities and how well they meet the challenges of a difficult job, while striving to build a quality project on time and within budget. We won our award in the Public Project – Renovation - Municipal/Utilities - Less than $10 million category. This Construction Manager at Risk project began in March 2010 and was completed in November 2010. The City of Chandler was the project owner, Tristar Engineering was the lead design engineer, and J2 Engineering was the landscape architect. Congratulations to everyone who contributed to this project. Special thanks goes to Paul Ekstrom (Project Manager), Gene Marshall (Project Superintendent), Christie Hall (Project Director/Design Phase Service), and Jim Jackson (Project Estimator). |
